I have never understood this whole issue. Why do people think they can structure the well wishes that others give them. Smacks of 'But I want a BLUE ferrari!" to me. When I give good wishes, it only makes sense that I would give them in the paradigm which makes sense to me. I don't know anything about the Bakriri day of the comet, so it would seem presumptious of me to go about wishing it on others. And you know, ANYONE can have a merry christmas. You don't have to doing anything or celebrating it in any way. It is like 'have a nice day' with a specific day in mind.
That said, the man should be able to send whatever he wants without flack. The office, of course, should not be sending religious well wishes.
