Drove 12.5 hours (805 miles) today. Drove 3,351 miles in the last two weeks. Saw many friends, spoke to more. Wishing I'd had more time or fewer weddings in order to see more people. Considering doing something like this again next summer. Wondering if melebeth slipped something into my drinking water to give me such crazy thoughts. :)

It was lovely to see those of you that I did see, and I'm sad I didn't get to see the rest of you. I don't think I'm going to have any more single friends after this year of weddings, though, so if I do repeat this drive next summer I should have a lot more time to see everyone.

And now I go floomp.

edit: Oh, and the best part of today's drive was, oddly, New Jersey. I had to cross through it one more time on my way west from New York, and I was on pins and needles the whole time - driving the speed limit, both hands on the wheel, both eyes on the road... and not a damn thing happened. Not one. And at the end of New Jersey, like a gift or a peace offering, the Delaware Water Gap unfolded, green and gorgeous. Perhaps I've misjudged New Jersey. More likely, I drove through before it had properly woken up and gotten something really unpleasant prepared for me.
