So... close...

But not really.  They still have to finish plumbing, finish electrical, install countertops, finish cabinets, finish painting, refinish stairs, put down final coat on all floors, etc, etc.  So... probably three weeks to a month before we actually move.  Hopefully sooner, though.

As of Friday morning: Dooooooomie doom doom doom.  Crew boss at wit's end, wandering around the porch swearing not-so-quietly to himself.  Architect taking photos to show class "how not to build a porch".  Email from GC saying, "we need to brainstorm about how to fix this, we'll get back to you on Monday afternoon with time and cost estimates."

As of Monday evening: Still haven't heard from the GC, call him to see what's going on.   "Oh, we fixed that."  *blink*  *blink*  Yay!

In other good news, the GC told us they've requested a first inspection from the city.  We should know in a day or two when the inspector will be coming.  Assuming we pass that inspection (fingers crossed) they can start putting in insulation and closing up the walls.

Woohoo!!!

Weekend was freaking exhausting.  Shed is packed to the gills with the stuff of Rick's that we're keeping.  Demolition - demolition is postponed, naturally.  Probably starting later this week.

S'okay, though.  It gives K. time to come get the couch, and some lucky person time to come get the two dressers. (You know you want them!  They're so blue and pretty!)  Probably in a couple days I'll be impatient for startage, but right now, I'm so tired from three days of moving that it's a struggle to even muster a "meh".
