Construction update

Drywall has been completed, flooring has started.
Look! Tile! On the floor of the bathroom!!!

Look! Piles of wood that will become the hardwood floor, stacked up in our bedroom!

Look! Our lovely drywalled great room!

We're so excited to move in, we can hardly stand it. Probably about a month to go before construction is done, though. *bounce bounce bounce*
Oh, and one other nifty thing. Below is a scan of 2 of the 6 masquerade ball tickets the guys found that had somehow fallen down inside the walls/floor. They're from 1903. (!) As Collette put it, you know that back in 1903, there was a huge argument about this. 'Where did you put the tickets?' 'I don't know, they were right here!'
We've discovered that Plattedeutsche (Plattdtitsche?) Gilde Teutonia was one of many German-American societies extant in Chicago at the time. We're still trying find out more about Excelsior Park Hall, and I wish I knew how to find out who was living in our house in 1903.
