The wedding tour begins

I got up at 4:00 AM yesterday, had the car loaded and was on the road by 4:45, and drove for 11 hours and 20 minutes. Sadly, even with the Prius, I did have to stop for gas once. I got 50 MPG on the first tank and 55 on the second, though! Listening to the iPod on shuffle and having a bunch of books and radio plays on CD really made the time fly. And driving a Prius on cruise control is like driving in a computer game! A really long, boring computer game.

I arrived in Virginia around 5 PM (local time) feeling reasonably good. My parents decided I needed to move around after sitting all day so I spent the remainder of the daylight doing yard work. Nothing unexpected there. I went to bed at around 11 last night thinking, "huh, I really feel quite good considering what a long day it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz." I woke up 12 hours later in the same position, so unbelievably stiff and sore...

I hope so, but I still don't know what the schedule's going to be like for Anne's wedding. Sadly, I will not be able to stick around long enough for your wedding. :( What's your contact info? I can give you call once we get into Maine.
